| Hey Cafe how you doing? I've been asking myself the same question, and i decided that the blog is more personal so i'll be posting all my messages there. However, since not everyone have time to check blog by blog, and i really know how important is to receive feedback about your progress as well as giving some, i'll be posting here some important info and maybe pictures of progress like weekly or so. Hope this helps. See you around, Manny.- | |

| Hi everyone So... the plan to start last week failed miserably, but I think that was partly due to the fact that I knew the real challenge would start on the 14th. So now I am good to go and will hopefully not fall behind again! Started with the diet today and just finished my second meal...still gotta see what I get for lunch...probably chicken with something... ;-) Tonight is capoeira training which at the moment will be my interval training...and tomorrow will be the first week first day of resitance training... good luck with week one for those starting this week too and good luck with week two for those doing that already! ;-) will be updating my blog eventually too, but this will do for now since I got nothing exciting to share yet! ;-) Take care everyone and don't over-do it! | Hey Café, Dont worry about not starting last week. How long have you been doing capoeira training? It looks like you got the diet sorted, well done! I still need to fix mine and cut out all the rubbish. Good luck and remember - in 16 weeks we will all be getting our SPARTAN Physique! Sean | |

| Hey Sean
U look like u r good on the way too... once u got the diet thing fixed it's even better...
but I gotta admit, the diet is the hardest part of all this... let's try to stick to it and avoid any major mishaps! ;-) My diet will be interrupted mainly due to the fact that we'll have our end-of-year company dinner this coming friday, so I cannot say no to the set menus!
but saturday I will get right back into the diet as if nothing had happened! ;-)
I've started Capoeira at uni in the UK (Norwich), did half a year there, then went off to Glasgow for my MSc where I did another year. then came back to Luxembourg where I didn't start again for 2 years because I didn't like the style they had here, but then started again.. so overall it will be (without the 2 yr break) 4 and a half years. I am a yellow-orange cord now, but in february we have the next batizado (change of cord ceremony), so I might get orange.
Just finished my chicken with salad lunch which was actually good, drank 2 liters of water over the whole morning, and will get my next egg and banana in about 2 hours (around 3pm'ish).
bye for now | |

| OK...here I am...(finally)
Yesterday was my first day of the second attempt at the 16-week challenge.
Did the whole workout the way it is described, except for the pullups which I tried doing with my new pull-up bar, but since in my new appartement i rent, the door frames are made of slippery wood, the rubber ends of the bar didnt' stay when I clung to the bar. I landed twice on my knees and decided to move to the cellar/basement where the doors have steel frames. That was good, but didnt' want to do all the workout next to my car, so I did all the exercises upstairs and just went downstairs for the pull-ups. I thought I was better at those pullups, but only managed 4 in a row, then 3 and then 4 again...so basically 11 only. Hope that gets better with time...;-)
Today my arms are hurting, but besides that I feel good...not weighing myself every day anymore like before (mainly cos I forget now since I have to hurry up in the morning), so I will weigh myself like every few days. Trying to sum it all up around the weekend and see the main progress week after week ... hope I will be amazed every weekend! :-P
anyways.,..that's it for now...
tonight capoeira and tomorrow resistance again... | |

| Stick with the pull-ups and trust me they do get easier as you get stronger. Back in september i could only do 3 in a row etc, Monday i managed 10 in a row - and i know that if i actually continued with the program for the whole 16 weeks i would be able to do a lot more that i am.
Stay with it and the improvement will come.

| That's the right attitude man! As long as you give your best its all good. As Sean says, they do get better eventually. Right now my doorframe bar got fuck*d up (piece of sh*t) but back in October when i got it i used it for a few weeks an it was GREAT when i managed to do at least 2 more reps than 2 days before that and so on. Keep it up man! Go kick some Ass*s at Capoeira now! | |
