Yeah... you read it right. Peanut butter may be calorie-dense, but let me list you what good stuff you get from it:
-Satiating and satisfying ... perfect for dieters.
-Quick and easy way to reduce your risk of heart disease.
-Affordable source of calories.
-Source of protein, needed to build and repair muscles.
-Reasonable source of vitamins, minerals and other health-protective food compounds.
-Contains fiber--not a lot (1 gram per tablespoon) but some.
-Contain mostly health-protective mono- and polyunsaturated fats.
-Caution: Poor source of the carbohydrates needed for muscle fuel. (but goes nicely with Bananas, Bread, Crackers, etc. wich will balance your meal)
