| Hey Sean...
Since me too I had to quit drinking coke (it was ALL I used to drink...nothing else), I stopped drinking then while in the 16-week challenge. Instead I started drinking the sparkling water, cos I dont like still water at all (except for during working out and only when it is really cold water).
So far I have had no side-effects, but even if it is not good, it's definitely better than coke and I will probably still continue drinking it! ;-)
Hopefully noone will have anything negative to say about it now! ;-)

| LOL stop dissing the clear stuff. But all seriousness I love still water however I believe the reason why I would always buy the fizzy stuff when in a shop was sheer value for money. It sounds bad but when I wasnt thinking about my health it seemed a logical choice now adays ill drink alot of still water as I work in an environment which has water fountains everywhere and it becomes a good habit. I think with water the more frequently you drink it the more refreshing it becomes...... or it may just be me | |

| I agree - it is a lot better than coke, and i used to drink a LOT of coke. The stuff i am drinking is 3 bottles for £1 (Each bottle is 1 litre) which is amazing value (considering i would drink 5/6 500ml bottles of coke a day at £1 each!?!) And it has no added sugar - again a bit of a bonus. Its good knowing that there have been no side effects so far; gives me more reason to drink it. Thanks, | |

| I haven't heard or read anything bad about "fizzy" or sparkling water, just don't drink the flavoured kind, they contain all sorts of chemicals your body doesn't need and some of them have even been linked to cancer. I don't really like sparkling water anyway so I drink the regular stuff that nature intended for us. | |

| Yea natural spring water will be the best. If you can get your water fresh and cold from the mountain source then you will be very very well of lol
Also if you drinking bottled water try get it in glass bottles if you can, tastes better and is much better for the body.

| That sucks man Water here is very cheap because we have many water sources and lots of water company's so the competition force them to lower prices. At least that's a good thing here And i used to drink maybe 2 glasses of water a day... i know , sucked. But after i started this, im kicking my own *ss and what i do is that i fill up this 'container' that probably have around 8 glasses and i HAVE TO drink it complete during the day. So far its been working very well | |

| I have an unsubstantiated theory that bubbly water doesn't absorb as well as straight H2O. I base the theory on experience -- years of martial arts training and love of Perrier. It makes my tongue happy, wets my mouth but doesn't satiate my appetite for liquids.
Is this congruent with others experiences? Not that it'll stop me from having Perrier.

| Here in Portugal we have a lots of Fizzy water...but a study here found that drinking too much fizzy water can make you have calcium problems...so...don't drink it like it was regular water...use it only as a coke substitute! | |
