| So, just like so many others i've seen Arnel's site and thought that it would be a pretty good idea to try out the workout, I wasn't sure about joining a forum the message boards at first though cos, i guess it's kinda embarassing but i've decided that the extra motivation is worth it! I kinda started a couple days ago and intend to try and do this straight for about 8 weeks but then it's going to be interrupted by me going on holiday (and I just hope i make myself do a little exercise while i'm there cos i know i'll be enjoying the food ) Anyway yeah, I have a lot of weight to lose so I guess we'll see how things go! Week 1: 210 lb 5'10" 40.25" waist bf~ 27% | |

| You have come to the right place! The community of members on this bored are very supportive and will always help motivate! Many of them competed in the first group doing Arnel's program so they have all been through what you are about to start and i know they will offer tips and advice.
Work hard and stick with it and you will see the weight fly off.

| Hey Matt, nice to have you here. Look, dont worry about being interrupted right now. Take advantage of the 'I wanna workout' inspiration now and start this. When you get to week3 you will be hooked If by week8 you get interrupted so be it. By then you will have results already and im sure you will have lots of fun but you will be EXTRA carefull about messing up your results See you around man, hope you stick with us! Manny.-

At the end of it we are all winners as we will all be in better shape than we were. The competition is simply a form of motivation, a desire to succeed and improve against a group of others. Set yourself short term goals - if you hit them by the end of the 16 or 12 weeks then you are a winner regardless. Sean

| The winner isn't the one who got ripped the best or got the leanest and most perfect six pack. As Sean said we are all winners. In my point of view the winner is the one who comes out more happy, more energized and more motivated on life than ever. And that could be you! - Let's say you loose 20-30 lbs, then you're definitely a winner... Just keeping working! | |

| Heh.. I don't know.. I'm just saying that in my head, the winner isn't the one who get the best body in the end.. It's the one who made the biggest progress.. | |

| Hi Matt, just like you i wasn't sure about joining the forum, but deep down i know i would fall off the ladder trying to do this on my own. The support and motivation from the rest of the group is invaluable, and remember every step towards your personal goal is a step forward no matter how small and if you keep taking those steps you WILL complete the marathon. Good luck i'm with you all the way
Pete. | |

Pete. Totally agree there Pete. This is definatly not an easy task to complete, there will be great days and there will be bad days and it helps on an amazing level to know that the support and motivation from the people on this forum is here and is invaluble. Never give up, Never surrender - keep on working and we will all make it.

| with reguards to the interupt part.
I dont particually see this as only a 16 week routine but more of a lifestyle change. I know by the end of the 16 weeks i wont be ripped as im just over 300lb however I do know ill be on the way. This seems the best way to kick start my ass into a lifesyle change / lifestyle revival, of course at the end I wont be as strict as I am to this plan as following a plan isn't a persons lifestyle, choosing what you want to eat is, for me I understand losing weight dosnt come over night and I dont want to be in the same situation in a few years time.
With reguards to the eating on holiday I actually shocked myself just before christmas as I was thinking I wanted to become healthier and started eating healthier food, I was on a works meal and instead of buying the usual burger and chips or pizza I decided to give something new a try, I deicded on salmon with salad and crusty bread, I had never tried fresh salmon and it was really tasty and I enjoyed the meal, fair enough it isnt the healthiest I could of chosen however it was a heck of alot better than the burger and chips, lol sorry may of disguised my point there but to sum it up, try other things if you think ill have the usual ask yourself why?
Is it because I know I like it or is it because you've never tried any of the other things on the menu. You never know you may like something new which is also alot healthier (WIN WIN).
LOL again sorry for the long post like usual

Its not only about doing your workout, its about realize, when your about to eat that double cheese double greasy double unhealthy burger, that there are options, healthier options that you can have, and by the end of the day your gonna feel GREAT! Believe me. Thanks for sharing that with us Aaron.
