I'm taking flaxseed at the moment but when i finish this bag i migh be switching to fish oil or an Omega3 supplement. There are a few reasons for this but let me try to explain one that sounds logical to me:
Long time ago, when nobody used soybean oil and all this vegetable source foods, flaxseed was kicking fishoil's ass because flax seed have Omega3 and Omega6 while fishoil only have Omega3 (or a lot less Omega6). Anyways the problem is that now we are taking soybean oil and more stuff that comes with A LOT of Omega6 and if we take flaxseed too then we will have Omega3 but MORE Omega6 and that's no good.
"It's very important to make sure that your diet contains the right balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. A healthy diet consists of roughly two to four times more omega-6 fatty acids than omega-3 fatty acids. In other words, for every four grams of omega-6 fatty acids, aim for at least one gram of omega-3 fatty acids. A diet that contains too many omega-6 fatty acids at the expense of omega-3 fatty acids also limits the conversion of alpha-linolenic acid into EPA and DHA." -some website.

I hope you guys are doing fine with the routines. Take care, Manny.-
