So I've been reading up on cardio and the best times to do it and have gotten two very different answers, both with multiple and (seemingly) reliable sources. 1)The best time is in the morning on an empty stomach and 2)The worst time to do it is in the morning on an empty stomach.

Pro morning/empty stomach:

Hey all,

Just thought i would drop a new topic. You may have noticed i have not been around this past week, i was meant to warn everyone that i would be in Venice but did not have time. This have been the first time i have had access to a computer all week.

I see there are a few new members, who i will welcome when i get home tomorrow, and also a few new topics to read through.

I hope you are still all working hard and i will be back properly tomorrow so i will see you then!

Night,

I've noticed over the last couple of weeks that fewer and fewer of you are posting and updating on the forum, not sure why. Even if you are working out all day you should still find atleast 5mins to visit the forum each day. After all this is a team effort, together we can achieve anything, alone we are weak and give into temptation

So why not commit right now to updating your blog either on Sunday or on Monday. If you don't have a blog you can just post ...

So i am sitting here, 2 hours before i leave to compete, and i find myself sticking Rocky 2 into the dvd player knowing that it will get me pumped up before i race. I know that there are a lot of films out there that makes people want to get off there arse and workout - but what are your faves?

Mine would have to be Rocky 4, 300, and Vision Quest. These films really do it for me and i normally have an amazing session after watching one.

Cardiovascular exercise performed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach burns more fat than any other time.

The reason why is because insulin levels are at their lowest and glucagon levels are at their highest.

This encourages your body to draw on its fat reserves for fuel.

If you work out after eating, your body will use this food for fuel instead.

Exercising first thing in the morning also helps kick-start your metabolism so you'll burn more calories during the ...

I was looking at Arnels new google group and one of the members was saying that he has not seen much change between weeks 1 and 2 pictures.

My main piece of advise to all those willing to listen; Take pictures at the end of every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks, taking them week after week will be demoralising (if thats how it is spelt) because VERY LITTLE change will happen in just 1 week. Taking them every 2/4 weeks gives time for the body to change.

K, here's the deal. I've decided that I'm not going to enter Arnel's new Man of the Year 16 week challenge. Firstly because I have already started this competition. Secondly this forum is awesome and I'm really busy with studying and stuff so keeping track of 2 forums will be a waste of time, rather stick to this one right here. Thirdly those google groups are kinda annoying in that it's a mission to keep track of all the posts that get put up everyday
