I found a huge list of motivational quotes online a while back - all based around swimming - so i have chosen the ones which i think people can use and reflect on them to post on this forum.

I just received one of the 'every now and then' emails from Arnel (founder of iwantsixpackabs.com).

Always good info, but this time he wrote about comon mistakes that people believe when it comes to ABS exercises.

I really recomend you read this.

---------------

Myth 1- Crunches will burn fat off your stomach.

This myth is false. You need to perform full body workouts to get rid of the fat on your stomach.

This is what I did today....

Went to the rock climbing gym and basically tried to get up the 25 foot wall as fast as possible. Jumping and skipping holds and just grabbing what you can to get to the top. I did this about 15 times in a row. My lungs were burning for a half hour after that. I was in pain. That was the best cardio that I've done in a long time. People were just staring at me like I was crazy.

Down side is, I ripped a chunk of skin off at one of my calouses. That hurts. ...

stiffness sets in within twelve hours of training. The muscle tissue break down

If you get to the point and you dont feel up to working out, whether it be through sickness or lazyness (de-motivated comes under lazyness im afraid) then you can use this system to determine what you need to do:

On a scale of 0-10, how bad do you feel? If it's a 10, you should be posting on this forum from the hospital.

If it's 0-3, you're fine.

If it's 4-5, go in, warm-up, and then see how you feel.

If it's 6, just go in and do something, even if it's just a warm-up.

This looks pretty hardcore:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdsyBrt77dM

Haven't done any pull-ups yet, cos I never had a pull-up bar. Used to do pull-downs (with weights) instead.

Got myself a pullup bar last week though, so now I can finally do the proper workout routine, because the pull-ups actually work out the whole body and not only arms and back!

but until we get to this guy's level, a lot of training will be needed...IF we get there at all! ;-)

It should take anywhere between 20 and 30 mins from work to home, and as each interval is 3 minutes long i will be doing at max 10 sets.

We all know of people who are lean, but they have a pot belly that sticks out quite a bit. This is because they have weak TVA muscles.

Training the TVA is very easy. Simply blow all of your air out and suck your stomach in and hold it for 15-30 seconds. You can do this throughout the day by simply ...

Here are a few exercises: http://www.askmen.com/sports/fitness_top_ten/36_fitness_list.html

One I would like to ad is this one: place your elbows on a bench and your feet on the ball. You're now facing the floor. Keep your pelvis up and make sure your entire body stays in line. Lock your body in this ...

Apparently lower abs are the hardest muscle to develop because most males store their fat in the lower abdomen.

One way to work this area is to put a exercise ball between your legs, lifting up and down, using your arms to anchor yourself. You can also put a 15 pound dumb-bell between your feet, and do leg raises while lying on the ground.

Might add this to a few of my routines, mixed with the Ab-rollouts.
